Automotive springs

Light springs for vehicle assemblies, in the 0.40–2.50 mm wire range. Not coil springs for suspension, and not heavy valve springs.

What we can make for a vehicle

Automobile is one of the industries we serve. In our wire range that usually means a detent, a return, a small seat spring or a clip — not a suspension coil and not a heavy engine valve spring.

Torsion and double torsion springs turn up in levers and locks. Extension springs turn up in returns. Compression springs sit under buttons and in small valves. Wire forms become clips and pins.

Two-wheeler work is a common use of these types.

What the drawing must say

Oil, heat, outdoor parking and road dirt decide the material. Hard-drawn spring steel is fine when the part stays dry. Stainless 302 / 304 is the usual step up if rust would jam the mechanism. Tell us the finish if the part is visible or if the buyer spec names one. Plating goes through partners.

The unit is ZED certified. A development sample goes into your assembly before we run the bulk quantity.

Questions

Do you make suspension or valve springs?
No. Those use wire above our 2.50 mm limit. Work in our unit is light: detents, returns, clips and small seat or lock springs.
Do you make two-wheeler springs?
Two-wheeler assemblies often use torsion and extension springs in this wire range. Whether that is a regular RK product is still to be confirmed.
What is the minimum order?
Usually 5,000–10,000 pcs. Smaller development runs are charged. We quote within 24 hours.
