Electrical and switchgear springs

MCB and switch-mechanism springs are a regular job in our unit. Wire 0.40–2.50 mm, to your drawing or an unused sample.

MCB and switch mechanisms

We make springs for electrical and switchgear assemblies, including MCB mechanisms.

Typical parts in this wire range are torsion springs on a lever, double torsion springs on a small hinge, extension springs on a trip or return, and short compression springs under a contact or a button. Wire forms show up as clips and retainers.

What matters on a switch spring

The spring has to fit a tight pocket and hold a load after many operations. Give us the hole or the pin, the free and working positions, and the load or torque at those positions. Wind direction on a torsion spring is not optional — the mechanism will fight you if it is wrong.

Hard-drawn spring steel is the everyday material when the box stays dry. Stainless 302 / 304 if the housing can take moisture. We do not plate in-house; say the finish on the drawing and we send it out.

How we work

Send the drawing or the old spring. We quote within 24 hours. Usual minimum 5,000–10,000 pcs. For a new part we make a development sample so you can try it in the mechanism. Dispatch is ex-works Talawade.
